Kendra Salcedo
Born and raised in St. Paul, Kendra Salcedo comes from a long line of home cooks who knew the best food didn’t need a Yelp page. With Filipino and Puerto Rican roots, her earliest food memories include lumpia cooled on paper towels and pastelillos wrapped in foil for road trips up to Bemidji. Her love of storytelling led her through a journalism degree, but she found her voice in the ugly-beautiful mess of Minnesota’s late-night eats. Kendra writes like she’s whispering secrets over a plate of lukewarm mozzarella sticks. Her reviews are lyrical but grounded — she’ll describe a burger as a “beef epiphany wrapped in regret” and mean it. She’s not here to judge your cravings. She’s here to baptize them.
